The Los Angeles Chapter of SAWE is proud to host the 33rd Southwest Regional Conference at the Pechanga Resort & Casino in Temecula from October 30 to November 1, 2008.

Hotel:
Pechanga offers AAA Four Diamond luxury in beautiful wine-country Temecula. Amenities include 522 beautifully appointed rooms and suites, concierge service, the state’s largest gaming floor, outstanding dining, nightly entertainment and headliner shows. Dining options abound, from a sumptuous all-you-can-eat buffet to fine dining; seven restaurants including a 24-hour café plus a 5-station food court provide choices for every taste and budget. Guest amenities include complimentary high speed Internet access, health club, pool with cabanas, spa, in-room coffee service & safe, complimentary HBO and daily newspaper delivery. Conveniently located just off the I-15 freeway, the hotel is minutes from many other dining and shopping options in picturesque Old Town Temecula.

Schedule:

• Thursday October 30: Training (SAWE RP-7, Aircraft Weight and Balance day 1)
• Friday October 31: Technical Sessions, Vendor Exposition, Luncheon
• Saturday November 1st: Training (SAWE RP-8, Aircraft Weight and Balance day 2, Measuring Mass Properties)

Training:
We are pleased to offer four different SAWE training courses at this conference:

• SAWE RP7: Mass Properties Management and Control for Military Aircraft. (1-day course taught by Dudley Cate)
• Aircraft Weight Estimating and SAWE RP8: Weight and Balance Data Reporting Forms for Aircraft (1-day course taught by Dudley Cate)
• Aircraft Weight and Balance Class (2-day aircraft weighing course taught by Tom Oole)
• Measuring Mass Properties (1-day course taught by Wayne Clay)

Conference & Training Registration & Fees:
Last day to register for the conference & training and pay on-line is October 5, 2008.

• Conference Technical Session fee for SAWE members is $100 (includes Friday luncheon)
• Conference Technical Session fee is $25 for retired members & student members
• One-day SAWE Training Course fee is $200 (includes lunch)
• Two-day SAWE Training course fee is $400 (includes lunch)
• Additional $100 fee for non-member registration for technical sessions or training.
• SAWE Membership and renewal is available on-line through SAWE store. 
• Additional $50 late fee for all registrations after October 5, 2008 (by mail, fax or in-person)

Hotel Reservation:
The LA chapter contracted for a limited number of guest rooms on Wednesday night (Oct 29), Thursday night (Oct 30) and Friday night (Oct 31) for our conference. Hotel reservations must be made before October 5, 2008 by calling the hotel reservation department at (888) 732-4264 or by calling the resort directly at (951) 770-1819 between the hours of 7:00 AM and 11:00 PM PST.   Please identify yourself as part of the Society of Allied Weight Engineers group/meeting to credit our room block and receive a special conference rate of $119 on Wednesday and Thursday nights and $199 on Friday night. Our room block does not provide a special conference rate for Saturday night but we will receive credit towards our room block commitment if you book a room and mention SAWE.  Rates are subject to a local hotel tax (currently 8%) but there are no additional resort fees or parking fees.

Exhibitors/Sponsors

Monday September 1, 2008 is the final day for vendors to register online and qualify for a $50 early registration discount. The vendor fee will increase to $450 after September 1, 2008.
