| Abstract | The need for landing gear correction factors arises from an aircraft being weighed with the landing gear in a non-flight configuration. The landing gear correction factors presented are developed for use on the AH-64A attack helicopter. The correction factors are derived from the moment differentials due to the c.g. shift in the longitudinal direction which occurs when the landing gear extend after take off. The formulas developed are also applicable to any system in which the components are being rotated about a fixed point. |
