Key Words26. WEIGHT GROWTH
AbstractThis paper is a continuation of Paper No. 1698. It brings up to date the weight growth of the differing aircraft fleets during the past twelve/eighteen months and comments on reasons for that growth. A major refurbishment program has been carried out on the One Eleven aircraft in conjunction with mandatory modifications. These modifications being fitment of Hush Kits, fireblocking of passenger and cabin crew seats, toilet smoke detection systems and floor proximity escape path lighting. All except the Hush Kits have been or are in the process of being fitted to all aircraft types in the airline fleet. Graphs have been drawn showing the actual weight growth for the various aircraft fleets operated by British Airways PLC.
