| Abstract | This paper was presented at the Twentieth National Conference of the Society of Aeronautical Weight Engineers at Akron, Ohio, May 15 – 18, 1961. The Caravelle SE-210 is a short/medium range twin-jet airplane, designed and built by a French manufacturer, SUD AVIATION, Toulouse, France. Many general discussions about this new aircraft type have been published, but only little detailed information with regard to weight and balance was available. The purpose of this paper is to address the weight and balance characteristics of this aircraft. The paper consists of a general aircraft description, seating arrangements, weight and center of gravity limitations, cargo compartment loads and volumes, as well as basic figures for weight calculations. |
