| Abstract | Seven wing weight estimating relationships are analyzed to identify some of the many obstacles that can be encountered during the derivation process. A series of fuselage weight estimating relationships are developed to illustrate tactics that can be utilized to circumvent these obstacles. The incremental improvements in accuracy that are obtained with each tactic are examined as well as the surprising synergistic interaction of the tactics, which improves accuracy by an order of magnitude. |
