This paper provides a brief introduction to the F-1 17A with the intent of familiarizing the reader with some of the basic characteristics of the aircraft. Some experiences, both positive and negative, pertaining to weight control on this aircraft are discussed for the purpose of provoking the reader to consider the methods he is currently using. This is not a scientific paper and many questions cannot be answered due to continuing security concerns.
