The section defining unbalance describes the kinds of unbalance and includes illustrations showing conditions that are introduced by particular unbalance.

Displacement caused by unbalance and the centrifugal force associated with unbalance are covered, as are the factors relating to rigid and non-rigid parts.

Important considerations with regards to balancing equipment and applications of single plane and two plane balancers are covered. Comparison between displacement measuring and force measuring machines is also included.

Finally, a table has been included showing a few common parts with balancing tolerances to provide some idea of representative tolerances.</style>
<work-type><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">30.
