Abstract | A methodology is presented to aid in the selection of high-lift devices and to estimate their effects on certain performance and maneuverability items and useful load. Aerodynamic, system weight, cost, and reliability characteristics are discussed. Example analysis formats are presented for military aircraft. The procedures are applicable to other aircraft categories as well. |
