Abstract

During the development of next-generation aerospace vehicles, predicting the weight and size of these vehicles can be very challenging to the weight engineer. A computer program was constructed using mass estimating relationships (IMERS), generated under various NASA and Air Force contracts, to predict the weight of these vehicles using existing design technologies. A NASA study was used to aid in predicting the vehicle weight and size based on projected technology advancements.
