| Abstract | PDWING is a semi-analytical multi-station wing analysis program based mostly on classical beam bending theory with features commonly associated with more complex Level II wing design and analysis programs. It is intended to provide an increase in capability (i.e., accuracy and sensitivity) over Level I conceptual/preliminary weight estimation methods for transition to Level II techniques as a developing configuration attains more definition. Emphasis for structure of this tool has been on simplicity (i.e., its friendly user interface) and quality (i.e., highly developed theory and documentation, bug free program operation, etc.) for accurate and repeatable results. |
