Metric teaching techniques, measurement-sensitive tools, and supplier relations are discussed. The Chevrolet Chevette experience is cited as an example of converting a production program to metric. It is concluded that metrication in GM is moving ahead efficiently and with relatively low cost and disruption of day-to-day operations.</style></abstract><work-type><style face="normal" font="default" size="100%">30.
